I like this Wilma very much. The moment I read it it grabbed me.In a few well chosen words you have written something that has great impact.Funny isn't it how silence sometimes can speak volumes and affect more than all the spoken words.I enjoyed reading this.Thank you. Also thank you for reading my work and for your comments. I know that not all burdens are taken away but that strength is given to cope with them, and all in the name of HIS LOVE.God bless you.Love June

This truly conveys what it feels like, Wilma. Well done. It's those voices in the head that keep up awake, asking what happened? what could I have done differently? why? I try to meet each thought with a thought of gratitude for the experience, bless that one and let it go. It isn't easy, nor probably very quick, especially when the vanished beloved has become such a part of your life and psyche, but comfort will come and the aching will ease, eventually.

I can relate to this one so very well. I live right near an Air Force base and I went back home for awhile. My in-laws live in the country. I got so accustom to hearing the C130's that when I first got down there that I could not sleep for the fact that the silence was so loud that it kept me awake. This is a wonderful Senryu. Lots of Love, ~Misty~

When communication ceases, the "silence" can truly keep us awake at night, Wilma. A very moving senryu with so much truth! Love and blessings, Carolyn
