Dead Winter
The snow, blistering down
Freezing my ice cold veins
I shake and shiver all over
So violently, how long to live
Can I make it through this night
Dimly lit by cold lampposts
My path is obscured by the snow
I trudge on, walking forward along
My eyes try to freeze shut
Painful, my fingers don’t move
I can hardly walk, so cold
The destination is not in sight
The snow is falling sideways
And so dark, the light barely glows
I trip and fall, my feet are frozen
My legs are nearing demise
I feel the dream world approaching
I just want some sleep
To forget about the cold, freezing cold
I slip off to my ending
I die the deep sleep of winter
