Dead Heat With Delusion
Dead Heat with Delusion
I write prolific poems and am no stooge
You can tell after reading the huge deluge
Of poems as they start entering your mind
Which I am writing while I try to unwind.
Whether facing North, South, East or West
You will find that my poems are the best
So start reading and continue on and on
Until late at night from very, early dawn.
After you have absorbed each one and all
And Congress finally waited until next fall
Would someone really try to be so kind
Telling me exactly what was in their mind.
As usual you too continue to be confused
Always feeling mishandled and misused
And have come to an astounding conclusion
Congress had been in dead heat with delusion.
