Day End

Day End 5/25/14 The crow caws and takes flight with the diminishing gray half light Shadows elongate over a field of yellow green spring grass This high day full of living nears its sweetened terminus Through the upstairs open window of our bedroom We retreat to a welcoming lair of dreams As we hold each other in loving caress Warm skin to cool skin rises And black night descends Deep sleep can wait As love smiles We drift Again.
