Day Dreamer

Where do I roam? Well, mostly in my head. Always the day dreamer, drifting from sea to sea in my floaty mind. I went on holiday to a hot far away land. We all had an amazing time, but in my head I'm often still there. I close my eyes, and I can feel that warmth. It wraps round me, not letting go. I embrace those thoughts a lot. Where do I roam? Often on cloud nine. But then sometimes dreams are better than reality. Maybe it's the poet in me that makes my mind drift away? By Emma Buckeridge For the contest "I Roam"

Our memories, and our imaginations, are precious. A good, wistful kind of write.

Emma, I drift back to special moments in time as well. As you say so well, these daydreams often are beter than reality. Why not enjoy the happiness while we can? Reality always wakes us from the most pleasant daydreams eventually. Great entry for the contest and I wish you success! Love, Carolyn
