Day Dream

A Day Dream I wish there was you The moment I wake up Kissing my good morning sunrise Asking how my night have been I wished. I wish there was you The moment I walk by Holding my hand safe and steady Taking me to where I needed be I wished. I wish there was you The moment I run astray and afraid Embracing my fears gone totally Building my defenses tall unwary I wished. I wish there was you The moment I get sickly unhealthy Nursing me physically, emotionally Reassuring you won’t leave- until I get myself back normally I wished. I wish there was you The moment I gave my sacred vow Promising with me a lifetime of together now Unfolding my veil from a dream of somehow I wished. I wish there was you The moment I close my eyes Remind me everything was real before it was And you were in time before I sleep. I woke up. to a day dream, crying. -km

This is so beautiful, and what is funny, today I wrote a very similar poem called "Kiss the Wind" with these exact thoughts! I will post it soon!
