Dawns Early Dusk
I woke up again too early.
So that may be why I'm so surly.
My nerves just didn't get enough rest.
And now my worst is now my best.
It's funny because I'm not tired.
I guess you'd say that I'm just wired.
But common sense knows otherwise.
My grumpiness, there's no disguise.
My fuse, it get's a little short.
And some might just think I'm that sort.
But if you ask me, I am not.
It's just I've just given all I've got.
So here I sit writing these words.
For all us deprived early birds.
And hoping we can get a nap.
So that our tired minds don't snap.
