Dawn
From my bedroom window I see,
Soft colors expanding across the horizon,
The sun rising with her warm glow.
The light illuminating the city,
A godly morning show.
Sweet, pure morning dew rests upon green leaves.
Scents of the day's first brew of coffee sneak around the apartment,
Daisy's precious heartbeat thumping against my belly,
Me enveloped in warm, toasty sheets.
I lie here,
Savoring that warmth, that internal glow,
I feel each time I behold a morning such as this.
