Darkness Surrounding

I've tried my best to write a poem of delight, A poem of insight and no internal fight, A piece in which fright is no longer depended on Where my blissful darkness is frowned upon But despite my need for peace, My hopeless anger is still missing its leash, The darkness that surrounds us, pushes us and consumes, And vacuums all that is good, leaving behind its intoxicating fumes. One could assume we could broom away what dooms us, But I can only resume my rampage from the womb to the tomb, And although with this attitude, there is nothing to gain It brings me salvation through my pain
