Darkened Night

On this darkened night... It's no wonder why the world can't see This girl they never did meet. She's running through the alley She's running and her heart is racing She knows not of where to hide from the Pain. The Pain is chasing after her, Sucking her life away. And on this darkened night This girl continues to pray, As she's fighting for the air, "God hurry and bring upon the day"... "God please stop the Pain before it's too late!" The world is so blind When it's the pain that's chasing her. It's times like these That I don't want to understand. This girl is alone as she pleads For any helping hand. And it's things like this that always seem to happen on a darkened night. So the world can't see through a beautiful day. What gives their soul a fright. Still this girl needs someone She's running out of places to run. The pain gets closer and closer Still she keeps praying for the sun. And just as the day begins to break through The pain did exactly what is sought out to do. On this darkened night It's no wonder why the world would never meet This girl who is now unable to breath There was nobody around to stop the pain On this darkened night And to know that the world can't see Darkness can be so scary And everyone gets a turn to be chased eventually When my time is- I don't want to know when though I wish I did So I could tell a friend. I don't want to be alone On my darkened night Deep inside I know I'll be on my own For this fight. But when it's over At least I know God will be on the other side He'll be there to brighten up What was once A darkened night. And in this place I'll be able to still breath In God's world... What we know as heaven The pain will never reach me. And in this world There will be no wondering why Why the world can't see For there's only happiness in heaven- No pain will ever again Be chasing me On a darkened night.
