Dark Planet
Dark Planet
Black metallic giant planet runs out there in outer space
Out of control, no gravity, no sun, no stars we’re told
Reaching, racing undetected, splits the distance, slips away
Out in the mystery systems held by void
Destinations have no shape or form for dark planet meanderings
In endless night, deepest riches where dark matter hides
Stranger to light, other unseen forms of life take flight
When explorers found it with their silver space ship
Came upon it by pure chance to land so gently grounded
Met by smooth ores and rocks of charcoal grays and blacks
Except for a fine thin line of artificial light produced
From a hand held device they used to walk about
The giant world would have sunk back into the frozen void
Undetected forever in the dark with all its truths
Closed its womb on the explorers
Blending in to the raw nothingness deduced
Alien worlds hide their beauty
Move unnoticed as they should
Leave exploring to the children of the universe
