Dark Night Church

Bats flap around the eerily dark night church Creaking, the doors don’t quite open completely Black cats run across your path with a great lurch The moon is out but isn’t seen quite fully The steeple is casting a deep purple hue Lost souls in graveyard not knowing what to do Frighten any passersby that come on by And Jack-o-lanterns absorb souls where they lie Russell Sivey

More Halloween concoctions... very nice! I don't know why but the line about lost souls in graveyard not knowing what to do, made me smile. Perhaps it was the image of long dead ghosts getting bored of the eternal wanderings next to a church. Good stuff, my friend.
