Dancing Desire

Only a glance, and
her image seared my mind.
Promise stained lips in coy little smile...
voluptuous hips stretching her skirt
A hint of a cleavage drew my eyes
Beguiling, oh, how she beguiled!
I could see her now
in the swirl of my drink
Suddenly, a suspicious silence
a collective inhale…then bated breath
I looked up...and there she was
staring at me…
Everything outside her sphere
blurred in her flames as
she moved towards me,
her eyes sent their flares
desire dancing her dare
I sensed the heat,
but despite the
warning signs, like
a love-struck moth,
I threw caution to the wind
and flew into her fire.
