Ann Etgen-Atkinson, my aunt, a prima ballerina practicing for her performance in New York, City, circa 1952

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ On tiptoes light, a dancer spins, in every leap, a new world begins, grace and poise in harmonious blend, telling tales without words, messages send.
If only I had the discipline to starve myself and then get into that mindset of dancing. Do like the grace though.
Dear Sara, I've always been enchanted by ballet, fascinated, actually. Ballet is an art form that demands attention and respect. It is a true testament to the human body's ability to convey emotion and tell a story through movement. The elegance and poise displayed by ballet dancers is nothing short of extraordinary. You've captured the art of a ballet dancer so well...Hugs
I share your affinity for ballet, dear Maria. I grew up around my aunt who was grace in motion--a body and life full of the discipline and respect you mentioned. I appreciate you, your visit, and your comments. Enjoy your Friday, hugs, Sara
Dear Sara, You have gracefully captured the essence of ballet, transporting me to a world of elegance and movement. With each delicate step, you create a picture of Ann's passion and dedication. Through your artistic words, the beauty of dance is brought to life with its timeless allure and ability to convey emotions beyond words. - Blessings, Daniel
Ah, the beauty of ballet that comes at such a painful cost to the dancer. It would be wonderful if the energy of dance could create a new world, wouldn't it? Enjoyed this lovely poem Ms. Sara. Blessings..
Wow. An Aunt, I guess that could give you reason to compose this piece. The image you present rhymes with the position of what she did while dancing BTW don't go see the movie out now called Abigale. It might spoil your mood.
awww, thank you, Karen, for your kind words. I agree she was so beautiful and graceful. She's now 92...and although physical grace has left her body, it has not left her spirit. Have a pleasant day, hugs, Sara
