I consider myself quite the dancer, so, of course I joined a dance class; but there is a problem with my feet, most of the time they are just stuck; and my legs have a routine their own, and sometimes both my knees buckle. I swirl and twirl, dip and leap high, and swing my arms in all directions; and my salsa hips, oh la la la la, in my head- I am a floating butterfly. __________________________ September 9, 2016 Poetry/Verse/Dance Of The Butterfly Copyright Protected, ID 16-826-915-0 All Rights Reserved. A wonderful honest check of reality; how wonderful if we could all be good at everything but I have learned to enjoy those I am not good at, even though I desire to be, by appreciating those who are. We can live our dreams through them. Good write and I like your phrasing. Edward

Sting like a bee, dance like a butterfly? I've two left feet, always wished I could dance. Nicely written.

Dancing for your own pleasure is the important thing not how well. Have you heard of Kimberly Wyatt - ex pussycat doll. She teaches young girls dance to get them to learn self worth and as an antedote to the selfie culture which she is against. I am too. Some of these girls spend hours trying to get just the right selfie. Also number of needless deaths through putting safety at risk to take them. Good contest poem. Glad you still have sense of humour. Regards David.
