Dance of the Butterfly
Sometimes insects are yucky
Scary looking and beastly
That make you jump out of your skin
But one holds beauty from within
This furry ling legged creature soon
Will hide inside a warm cocoon
Transforming into colored wings
And all the beauty that it brings
Will immerse from deep inside
Where it was kept mummified
Now this graceful gorgeous sight
spreads its wings as it takes flight
Into its new home in the sky
Exotic and free it will fly
Like a colored perfect painting
A masterpiece it is creating
Putting on a dainty show
As rhythm begins to flow
From this poised and nimble newborn
Dancing to a new life song
As the butterfly flutters by
Above our heads and way up high
