Dance of Spring
DANCE OF SPRING
Where deep mire marred our winter footpath ways
Now Spring brings transformation to these trails
As damp and cold no longer rule our days
The sun with caution gives us warm avails
Now islets firm attract discerning feet
With deft side steps eluding every snare
And pick through hazards, as in dance upbeat
With steps worthy of Kelly or Astair
As perils of the passing year are faced
And Spring brings hope of healing to our lives
May steps though cautious be with courage braced
Negotiate the plague where it yet strives
No more at nearness shall we look askance
Together then may each one join the dance
