Damsel In Distress Syndrome

Is such a term documented and medically known? I seem to be inflicted with what I refer to as Damsel In Distress Syndrome. It doesn't matter the woman or her degree of distress, however great or small. I am compelled to help all of them and save them from their fall. I guess it's because so many great women have greatly influenced my life and this may be my way of attempting to repay them all. Dedicated To All The Great Women Out There (but then again, what other type of woman are there?)
