Daisy
Daisy in my presence
Innocent and pure
As my light graces
Your bloom will endure
White as night is black
You reflect my light
Hold an open soul
You will reach new heights
Whither not, beloved
You are my great joy
Darkness has its bite
But it shall not destroy
Captured by your beauty
You cause my eye to stay
In the warmth I watch you,
At night, I long for day
Peace, my righteous bloom
I save you for my own
Jealous for your heart
I smell what I have grown
You will not be wanting
Call and I will stay
Though the sun must fall
The moon will hold your way
Never shall I leave you
Through fall or winter’s cold
You are my beloved
More precious than gold
Do not fear in autumn
When others fall away
I plant you in my garden
You shall not fade away
I water you with tears
That I have cried for you
The soul holding fast
I cultivate for you
Do not fear the shadow
You grow near to my heart
Though all the weeds surround
They cannot tear apart
As they choke the lilies
And grow to overtake
You will be raised high
Your heart has much at stake
Daisy, open your face
You have much to give this race
Daisy, heaven shines for you
In your eyes, I shine through
