Daily Prayer

Father God head of my life Help me today to get it right Let me not hold on to yesterdays madness But latch on to today’s gladness Make me a better person by every second, minute and hour Help me bloom today like a beautiful flower May I remember who is in control Who has the floor Who has helped me walk through a new door Let me not beat up on myself Or be so frustrated with another That it changes my attitude Towards my sisters and my brothers Thank you God for waking me this day And starting me on my way Let me not get weary by what others say But help me to continue to pray I ask that you make me strong when I seem weak Help me to maintain a powerful physic Let not my appearance seem overbearing but humble / meek And give me the proper words to speak Help me this day and those to follow To understand I should never wallow For you are my strength day and night You provide me with an awesome might So Father God I ask you again To walk with me as my day begins Stand by my side through it all Making sure I will not fall Help me pick the right words When I open my mouth Let the beauty of your love Flow right on out Word after word, layer after layer This Father God is my daily prayer
