Here we stand brothers in arms Green uniforms one and all See us guarding nature’s charms Our yellow plumes stand tall Begone o’ winter’s discontentment Begone o’ lonely cloud For frosty Jack there’s no lament We daffodils stand proud

The daffodil stems are so long an lean. Nice comparison to soldiers standing guard. Sometimes when they bloom too soon, Jack Frost makes an unexpected reappearance. Delightful poem! Best wishes, carolyn
