Daddy's Little Secret
Disguised, I see her in secret
A Girl not knowing, her real truth
Skin and Hair, dark as mine
like Mother, eyes beautifully blue
Her face an illustration of life.
Her "Dad" Provides comforts.
Buying clothing and food.
Sheltering her precious head.
My Love, simply doesn't provide,
These essential needs.
The lie so real, now blurring through.
revealing truth seems unthinkable
A Selfish Desire, immensely cruel.
When she brings me, my child:
Relegated to Just, another familiar face,
one of mommy's many friends.
So I concede, painfully living our lie.
My happiness returns, those special days
Our Rendezvous' on odd days,
in strange places.
Refusing to, fully surrender,
Surrender my claim,
still willfully I conspire
redacting our past.
