Daddy Will I Grow Old
Daddy will I grow old to go home the first time
Daddy will I grow old to hear my first rhyme
Daddy will I grow old to eat my first meal
Daddy will I grow old to see my heart heal
Daddy will I grow old to see my mom smile
Daddy will I grow old to be held for a while
Daddy will I grow old to learn how to walk
Daddy will I grow old to learn how to talk
Daddy will I grow old to see my first snow
Daddy will I grow old to get my first cold
Daddy will I grow old to hear my first song
Daddy will I grow old to do my first wrong
Daddy will I grow old to have a first friend
Daddy will I grow old to feel my first wind
Daddy will I grow old to have a first toy
Daddy will I grow old to show my first joy
Daddy will I grow old to have my first laugh
Daddy will I grow old to see my first giraffe
Daddy will I grow old to kick my first ball
Daddy will I grow old to have my first fall
These are the things that went through my mind
As a daddy I hoped to answer them in time
As a CHD dad you don't know what to expect
there truly is no answer of the time they have left
You love them everyday like it was thier last
and smile everyday when tomorrow is the past
If for some reason it happens and their day on this earth ends
God holds them close until we can see them again.
