Crystal Waters
The flying beasts emit awkward drones
Echoes humming to an already chaotic zone
However soothing, still, emotions run thick
To escape, try not to see...hear…feel…think…
Walking like a zombie, circling to nowhere
Finding meaning to a life that’s hard to bear
Trickling constantly, a never ending waterfall
A drizzle that ebbs only to hurl a downpour
Even in a mystical place of pure beauty
Afraid that there lurks something ugly
Still in dreams as eyes closed to slumber
Scared to give way to ugly nightmares
Surrounded by smiles from happy faces
Beaming but dreading the next phase
Happy to receive returns from heaven
Fearful that soon those will be taken
Life’s strange balance, the yin and yang
To feel old when one was once young
To know happiness, one must be sad
To learn to stand, one must fall hard
There are times when not feeling is best
Shutting down from shouts inside the chest
Coaching the brain to deafening silence
Thus, hurt cease to be in such pretense
Like a pond that relies on rain for water
Our life is a pool brimming with wonder
Every crystal that fall from our sorrows
Fills us with hope for a new tomorrow
To love and be loved we must shed tears
Let the crystal waters flow amidst your fears
As fragile as we are, we must feel
We must live a life that is real.
