The shadows whispering In the silence I now sing Hold me to their flames The only comfort in this lasting pain The words that can’t convey The screaming in this place Are love notes for the void The only home left as I’m destroyed Darkness in the light Glowing in the night Eyes that hold me still The gazing truth my heart just can not kill Nothing else to say It still won’t go away A stranger in my dreams I wake to find that I no longer breathe A horror that remains It just won’t be erased The loss of all that’s true Breaks me down, but I’m still lost in you Far too much to share My reflection isn’t there Sanity is gone Another life where I just don’t belong
