Crooked Trees

Getting colder and the leaves are falling, Winter voices and the nights are crawling, Nature freezes and the days are stalling, Silently, so somberly, We take on the shape of crooked trees. The shape of things to come, The stars that shine above, we’re Counting all the days and ways For crooked trees in love. Sleepy shadows on the path are crossing, Broken branches on the ground are mossing, People walking with their thoughts are longing, Carefully, constantly We take on the shape of crooked trees. The shape of things to come, The stars that shine above, we’re Counting all the days and ways For crooked trees in love. For crooked trees in love, For crooked trees in love. We are tossing, turning, happens every morning I can hear you calling, I can hear you say. We are waiting, craving in our way relating, It would be so pleasing to begin this way. We are breathing, dreaming, and our hearts are beating, I can feel it reaching deep inside of me. We are rising, shining, no more compromising, And it can’t be hurting cause we’ll always be Always be, crooked trees, crooked trees, in love.
