Crooked Christmas
Christmas lights blue and green
Jagged icicles hung frigid and mean
Waiting for gifts all wrapped with love
Placed beneath a tree topped by a dove
Crooked Christmas of love and lies
Emptiness as the snow flies
Waiting for man in red with gifts
Of cheer and love and spirit lifts
Skies grow dark lights get dim
Noise on the rooftop I think it’s him
Santa’s sleigh and eight reindeer
Bringing love and gifts and holy cheer
Children sneak around the house
To spy the big guy walk all about
Crooked Christmas of love and lies
Emptiness as the snow flies
Waiting for a man in red with gifts
Of cheer and love and spirit lifts.
