Poem written for "Admire A Summer Flower" Poetry contest

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I gazed in wonderment at your majestic crimson trumpet dazzling like the dawning sun. You gracefully unfurled silken veils, revealing hidden treasures of gold and ruby, welcoming passersby drawn to your beauty. Hummingbirds quenched by your nectar, bumble bees hid in your inner sanctuary, gorging on your provisional bounty. But you left us too soon. A single day and you were gone, dimmed like a dying celestial light. Your crimson display turned to rosy and dust, veins dried like drought-ridden rivers though I see their intricate patterns still.
A lovely ode on the sparkling deep red shoe flower. "Hummingbirds quenched by your nectar, bumble bees hid in your inner sanctuary, gorging on your provisional bounty". This is the one flower mostly frequented by humming birds. Love these lines. Hearty Congratulations on your top win in the contest. Into my FAVE
Dear Sara, I loved your superb poem that perfectly depicts the fleeting beauty and eternity of nature. Your description of a vibrant crimson flower in its full bloom, attracting a variety of creatures, only to wither and fade away prematurely, is excellent. The poem's beauty is enhanced by the use of descriptive and vivid syntax, which paints a vivid picture of the flower. Describing it as a "majestic crimson trumpet," "silken veils," and "hidden treasures of gold and ruby."
