Crimson

The redness of the sky was merely a hint, Hint of something big, Hint of something dark. The silence in the surrounding was merely a sign, Sign of thunderstorm may be, Sign of something wrong may be. I don't remember what happened next. My eyes opened, What I saw was horrible, More blood in the soil, More dead than alive. It was a question whether I would survive. What I felt was miserable, More cruelty and void, More sadness in voice. More dust than air, And people crying "How you dare?" And that's when I understood. The redness of sky was nothing but the hint of war. The silence in surrounding was nothing but the end of peace. End of happiness and end of lives.

This is a very poinyant and powerful poem. War is an ugly thing and most people don't want to write about it. I commend you your courage and your truthfulness. You write so well I find it hard to believe that you are a beginner, I look forward to reading more of your poems.

Wow! Thank you very very much. This comment made this day a great one. I was so disturbed by the cold war between India and Pakistan. I just fear about the war. And it inspired me to write this one. Keep encouraging. Much Love :)

The relation between India and Pakistan are getting worse every day. This is what inspired me to write this. Thank you so much, sir. As a beginner, I get inspiration from here a lot.
