Crimininal Love
Criminal Love
There are times in life when right is not good and good far away from right,
When the right thing makes your heart grief and good gives you relief,
Doing the right thing makes one panic, scared and confused,
Whereas the good thing is right there promising you bliss peace and joy,
The right thing cast doubts, breeds discord and shutters all hopes,
And here I am left wondering which coarse do I take?
When love flows freely and sweetly from ones heart,
Filling the heart with so much joy, hope and fulfillment,
Filling ones life with confidence, synergy and courage,
When love creates an environment where everything seems perfect,
When love drives one to be a better person; caring, considerate, industrious, affectionate…
When love propels one to greater heights, to do great things…
What becomes of that love when it is not right?
Now that peaceful haven is invaded and its place reigns confusion,
The once blossoming love forcefully covered and unable to breathe,
The once so proud love suffocated, humiliated and suppressed,
Its radiance dimmed and the brilliant sparkle taken away,
The once so optimistic love is in the state of desolation and despair,
Simply because it did not pass the’ right’ test..
If only I had the answers to this right and wrong contest,
And their relative in the name of guilt who also joined the conquest
Wish I had the consolation to offer my devastated heart,
And the strength to take it all in my stride.
