Crime

by Laura We met in brand new corners of our absent minds Chasing away ghosts of our own distant yesterdays Trying to unwind memories that are driving us blind Calmly fading away to signals that we never made So we sing softly to the cracks of light through the broken shutters Piercing our vail of darkness that showed the way we really are Finding out we never knew what it was like, the hers and hers The home we have that never fades inside a haze of unwritten scars It's under a cloud of loneliness that drives our common inner bliss Within the depths of every kiss a scene or every lovely crime Thieves we are, to take away that place of selfish loneliness So take my heart and lay with me inside the place our paths align
