Crescent
The lonely night holds new remorse
like songs of old we've heard before
And though the sky may know the chords
tonight's moon seems to stray off course
In dark tonight all eyes are blind
The crescent moon, so small upturned
hears strains of sadness so aligned
where even stars weep sad nocturnes
Please moon, become the whole you are
I need your lamp to see me through
Although I see one million stars
this night is lonely without you
So dim the light that fills the eye
the falling stars have left the sky
