Creation

The writer learns early-on the dry process of wet ink… as the Driller knows his wells, the years of emptiness, and worthless deeds -- nothing good comes without great effort for example, take God, all the time and grace that has gone into His Man….

Man wrote the Bible so it cannot depict how God created the world. Most of the creation can only be metaphoric so that man can understand.

"We see through a glass darkly" -- attempting to define infinite continuity, using mental fragments. Still having trouble seeing up-close clearly -- in two weeks I will be able to get new glasses hopefully. And I will be able to get back into reading the wonderful poetry of others and writing some works of my own.

Thanks for this, Joe. Selfish ingrate that I am, I never think about this. Ever more and even more to be grateful for than before.

Myself as well, having to remind myself. Sometimes wrapped up in our own immediate necessities, we neglect the greater scheme of things...God's plans.

Hi Joe. Good point. Just my opinion, but, maybe effortlessly means that God is all powerful, therefore, nothing can obstruct His will that He does not allow....and when thinking of rest, it is not about fatigue but more about, like, the rests in music or negative space in art. Blessings my friend.

Haven't seen you in a while, my friend. This sums up your poem eloquently: nothing good comes without great effort.

Thank you, Vijay; I miss being here. Had some eye surgery, cataract. Should be reading the fine works on Soup and contributing again soon.

Thank you, Hilda; I think we need not always hit ourselves over the head with scriptures, but also see the gentle, graceful presentation of God's Love. I hope I succeeded with this write. Blessings my friend.
