Sound asleep, I lay in slumber peaceful as can be, And in my dream, the Lord himself is looking straight at me. Coming closer, step by step as I wave at Him in joy. Igniting my heart with happiness, something no one can destroy. Thank you Lord for gracing me with your everlasting presence. Come into my heart and guide me on the loving path to heaven. Thank you Lord for loving me when no one heard my cries. I await the day your angels sing and triumph through the skies. Dear Lord I’m at your mercy, please take me as I am. For this world is full of misleading judgment that I can no longer stand. Cradle me in your arms Lord, as I tremble in my fears. Lead me to a place where, you are all that I can hear. The sound of your great name brings sweet melody to my heart. Defend me Lord for without your might I seem to fall apart.
