Cracked
CRACKED
Life unkind, cracked in mind, sailing my boat.
Sorrows abundant but flakes of joy few.
Grief locked in alcove of heart, me to float.
Scar in heart suffused by dry tears and rue.
Self consolation and isolation.
Life unkind, cracked in mind, sailing my boat.
Apprehending spectre, no solution.
Pretending to be happy: Smothered throat.
Playing fair game yet ball is on other’s court.
Heart weeps, face resplendent in fake rapture.
Life unkind, cracked in mind, sailing my boat.
Past passed, unpleasant present, furtive Future.
Emotive urge not to surge, on suppression.
Love letter in my mind, never I wrote.
Dwelling in deplorable depression.
Life unkind, cracked in mind, sailing my boat.
