Covering What Remains

The earth, such beauty above breathes though below, desolate caverns carved of this chest once filled with life, piled gravel, mountains of molehills, not for climbing, but falling as this pit craves despair, loneliness yet I shall stand beyond these depressions, rising up, holding tight this shovel borrowed for burying, covering what remains of my past… Written for the Quote Prompt II - Poetry Contest Hosted by Laura Loo

You used the shovel, quite well. As a strong support and also for burying the past. A wonderful response to the quote. Congrats on your win, Chris.

The best thing to do with past grievances and tribulations, although never easy. Disparaging yet filled with hope in the next breath Chris, good luck with the contest.
