Courage

Courage has been to survive trauma Stand in the face of evil wrong doers Speak after being threatened not to Risking my life, to stand for what is right Not backing down with being who I am Regardless of assaults directed at me And buckets of blame poured upon me Projected by all of them for speaking out Courage is needed to face truth in entirety I found courage with faith and strong will Courage to me, means standing by morals Regardless of the sacrifice it takes to do so Heidi Sands 12/13/16 *Placed 3rd in Contest: What courage means to you
