Count Your Blessings
Now listen up all ye poets out there
Here's an adage I try to live by
It seems to work for this old duffer
So why don't you give it a try
Upon waking up every morning
Before you jump out of bed
Count all your blessings one by one
Keep them stored inside your head
As each day presents its challenges
Remember your many blessings
Be thankful for all the little things
Enjoy life with all its dressings
Now it may not be totally foolproof
But at least you're on the right track
Trust me you'll be ahead of the game
And happiness you surely won't lack
So listen up all ye poets out there
Let me know how it all works out
I hope it's a positively roaring success
From the rooftops you'll want to shout!
