Could Be

We could do so much more… We could be SO. MUCH. MORE! A nation divided by fools who claim to unite. How to destroy the blinding pain of fear and spite? South Africa. Home of my heart. You sing and dance and fight and soar. You laugh and cheer and scream and roar. Wild. Free. Untamed… Yet by sorrow and rage maimed. Your pride is as stubborn as it is inspirational: shoving aside the important for the sensational. We are the rainbow nation. We are a people who speak for all. We have toppled systems, and made empires fall. All for wanting to be SO. MUCH. MORE! Why are we now satisfied with fat cats? Have they not shown they are merely rats? Empty promises and lies spewed in our face as if we were impressed by their disgrace. South Africa, born in forgiveness, living in vengeance. We could be so much more than just this.
