Couild I Be Like Jesus

>Could I be like Jesus? Could I be like Jesus? Oh what a man, was he. I’m sorry I am not. Not half the man as he. He spoke of peace and understanding. Okay that I can do. He said, forgive your enemy. I’d find that hard to do. He died to save the world on Earth. I know soon, I will die too. But could I volunteer to go? I doubt that I could do. If my dying. Meant peace would be throughout the world. I’d give it lots of thought. Then as I look at the world’s state, I guess my mind is mixed of sorts. I knew Jesus gave his life for us. I’m sure for our sins. He died. But that was oh so long ago. Did he the future know that time? Of course he was the Son of God. But like parents now on Earth. Did God shield him from our future? This one we have given birth. Men fighting everywhere. Women covered, is not fair. I doubt this future God foretold. So took his son back to his fold. As if on earth God did dwell. He might just think. Earth is Hell. As Easter creeps nearer, we Christians shall all think of the Easter story. And on the third day we all say Christ is risen, he is risen indeed. My cat named Kat just gave a loud meow, I think he agrees. Happy Easter everybody, Happy Easter. (TMA)<

Could I be like Jesus? The question is really tough. The first half of the poem is well written. When sure that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, why doubt His resurrection was to give us eternal life? To us, this cruel world may look like hell, then think of the real one.

I do not doubt the sincerity of God. Just the failing of mankind to live, as He hoped perhaps we would. Thanks for taking time to comment.
