Correct Me If I'M Wrong
Correct Me If I’m Wrong
By Elton Camp
This poem is written for young men
So that they won’t easily be taken in
You must be wary of what women say
So take the word of a man old and gray
Their real meaning you must scrutinize
Or you are sure to get a nasty surprise
If she says, “Correct me if I’m wrong,”
There’s only one way you can get along
This request is setting you up for a trap
Please be smart and don’t open your yap
For if you should dare to correct her
She’ll say that you don’t respect her
It’s on the couch you’ll be sleeping
A closed mouth better be keeping
