Contrasts
The searing heat of fire
The burning with desire
Igniting like a flare
And lightening up the air
The fever pitch of lust
The smoldering ash to dust
The frosty touch of ice
The heart held in a vise
The freezing touch of death
Extinguishing your breath
A cold so deeply frigid
So lifeless, dead and rigid
The blazing of the light
The sun so very bright
The snow so very white
And blinding to the sight
Then everything is dark
And oh so very stark
Revolving in an arc
And leaving not a mark
