Contemplating the Day
I do not have to run anymore
worrying about tomorrow
never seemed to get me anywhere.
Sitting back, replacing, contemplating the day
gave me more perspective and focus
then seeking out and making plans.
Viewing the world
from a different view
has opened my eyes
to what I already had and now am missing.
Watching and observing nature
and all God’s small creatures
struggling for life and existence
makes me grateful.
All I had at the moment
I finally found
was really all I ever needed.
You come to recognize that
sometimes too late
only after years of having lost it.
