Confusion

I have heard so many people say, life is something grand The secret to being happy, I just don't understand. My heart is always knocking, wanting out so it can feel What it's like to be happy, what it feels like to be real. As this little voice is saying, today we'll have some fun While another voice says go ahead, but know that I will run. Deep within I am so confused, I am feeling so distraught Every time I try to think, I lose my train of thought. How to get my life on track, such knowledge I'm without It seems I'm locked within myself, with no exit to get out.

I absolutely relate to this, Laura. As I read your words I found myself reliving a dark side of me which spanned two lost decades. You very aptly described how it feels to be locked down within your own mind. A very scary place to be.
