Confrontation

CONFRONTATION In the dark recesses of my mind A dream I had of a profound kind A monster was deep within That brought my blood through my skin A claw I saw Through my heart it ripped And there my soul it stripped It told me of my guilt and shame Of the woman it did not name I went back to my mind And what did I find? The monster was me I saw that so clearly And through the dark I saw the spark A rude awakening it was And I had to pause Who was that woman? Seemed so serene and solemn Her wings spread so sensually Sunlight reflected so brilliantly Sparkling, glistening, shining She soared Who are you? Like a bullet by me she flew Looked back at me she winked She was gone after I blinked
