Confounding Paradox

Confounding Paradox Are there exoplanets evolving, terrains for the living? Living forms upon rivers, microbes drifting in the air? Do they breathe oxygen, a unique concoction of gen? Primeval human questions borne out of conceit unveil apprehensive curiosity Antiquated they must be encapsulated inside the boundaries of mortal frailty Beings are ephemeral and aged galaxies yield their jewels in a fiery embrace Breaking then merging with brilliant mystical islands in the vastness of space Life propitiously ubiquitous weave throughout obscured mazes encompassing The most confounding paradox is existence and to probing souls enlightening Penned: 4:17 P.M. 10/27/2016 Aboard cruise liner: Vision of the Seas Argostoli, Greece

And "life" will most probably always be a "paradox", ab. And it probably always should be. You do some really deep thinking "aboard cruise liners", n'est-ce pas?

Agreed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts which parallel's mine, Jim. Yes, sometimes my mind wanders into deep, dark space, as the ship drifts. Merci. I can only mumble in French. Lol!...ab

Interesting ideas. I guess if time keeps going on humans may find if all plants/stars, etc. are suitable for human existence. I think no, but only God knows for sure. Thanks for sharing your ideas and dropping by my page. Sara

I believe that if humanity journeys into the unknown with good intentions, then there is hope of flourishing somewhere in the cosmos. It's always a pleasure reading your wonderful work Sara!...ab

Happ New Year Timothy, I hope the holidays turned good for you! Thank you for sharing your very intelligent thoughts. Well... NASA estimates that in our galaxy alone, there are at least 100 billion planets. Within me, is this overwhelming belief that we(humans), are but one of the countless thinking life forms inhabiting this incomprehensible universe, awed by its mysteriousness. So, the yarn keeps unraveling in quietude!...ab

Wow! Anselmo! Most people just enjoy the food, drink, shuffleboard, and camaraderie on an ocean cruise. But this "paradox" you write about here is a mystery that will, most likely, never be solved...and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Hahaha, I do imbibe in some of the activities. My humble take is that if humans aren't lucky enough to come across other life forms here on Earth, then those who are lucky enough to travel outside of our domain, most likely will. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter Jim!...ab
