Confession of a Lover

Your love was comparable to summer, As if I was sitting around a hearth, Ere this curse, You plundered my heart with your pretty deceitful smile, You could hear its cadence, But it seems to enervate day by day, You trespassed this fortified heart without any sign of warning, You divulged the gate to this heart, My line laid secured defending this fortress, But you wiped it out, I pity myself for my ignorance, So I locked myself in this lonely dungeon, Because I was not able to foretell, I received a poretend, But you bought my notion with your cerulean eyes, Let the serpent be the guard to my heart, I will fortify this heart once more, I offered you my allegiance, But you swept it off like nothing, I coveted your love, Now I am indeed vanquished, I whimper like a weak animal, I have more causes than most to hate you, You defiled my pure love, Love that once ran like river through stone, You desolated my heart, Let it bleed to dry, You tortured me with this sleepless malice, And now I need a foothold to survive.
