Complete

I feel safe when you are near, like a baby nestled in his mother's arms. I can breathe without gasping, speak without stammering, my embarrassment fades in the glow of your smile. There is no pretense. I need no safety net; your closeness brings a feeling of well-being. Dancing with the lights low and kissing in the rain, holding you so tight, and hoping that you'll never let me go I feel complete. Author Note ...the first poem I ever wrote.
