The beautiful colours of nature fill a day with changes which are wonderful to watch.
Colours Of A Day
Colours bright to meet the morning,
Yellow of sun and white of clouds
Across blue sky, after the dawning
When pink and gold encircle the sun
And the glory of daybreak is begun.
Refresh your eyes with cool green grass,
With grey washed rocks by the river bank,
With white water rapids as they pass
A bright golden field of ripened corn
Where weeping willows droop and mourn.
They mourn the passing of the day
In setting sun, red fire and gold,
And fading cloud-wisps point the way
To where a dark and starry sky seems
Lit by the colours of our dreams.
