Colourful World
How did I miss the rainbow of life, the changing colors from pastels to night, where dark
was the intimacy secretly shared, to silver once the moon turned on her light.
Dazzling energy shocking and bright, like diamonds when sun catches on glass, shielding my
eyes yet still trying to look, winter is coming in fast.
Blue for the tears and the soft satin quilt, tinged with white for the cold light of day,
red for the anger whilst I had the chance, and forgot what I needed to say.
Green for the pastures I'm moving a new, pastel the fields of lime, walking in cornfields
lemon I'm sure, losing all sense of reason and time.
Awakened in blue for the new day arisen, golden the opportunities I have been given.
I still believe and I will to the end, the brightest of colors is wrapped up in friends
Be you ever near or gone far away, regrets dressed in yellow for the next dawn of day.
Skies be my roof and the earth be my floor, and I'll find my way home, I'll be lost never
more.
